CNR Volleyball ranked #1 in NCAA DIII in Service Aces Per Set

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – In the latest NCAA statistical rankings, released Tuesday, the CNR volleyball team leads Division III in services aces per game and senior outside hitter/middle Elizabeth Johnston ranks 12th in the same category.

The Blue Angels are averaging 3.61 service aces per set, .07 ahead of second place Merchant Marine Academy, having converted 224 aces in 62 sets this season. A total of 420 Division III schools are eligible for the national rankings.

The stats cover all matches through October 14, and Johnston’s 0.84 service aces per set place her among the national leaders and just .35 off the pace of DIII leader Jelena Markovic of Centenary College.

Johnston and CNR return to action on Thursday, October 18, traveling to Lehman College for a non-conference match slated to begin at 6:00 PM.
