Once again, a media notice for a press conference with very poor timing, the day before a holiday. Some advanced notice to the media sent Tuesday, November 20, 2012 6:43 PM for a media event at 3:00 PM on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Where is the part about the neighbors being informed that there would be an announcement forth coming? Some notice with enough time to make plans to attend would have been nice, So much for working with the neighbor’s. The neighbors want to see the process work. Some have said they would have attended with notice of the announcement because they too are eager and anxious to hear what the Community-College Planning Committee was able to accomplish. In the words of Council Member Tarantino,” Why is there such a disconnect?”
