This Saturday, December 15th at 8pm New Rochelle’s Peter Parente will host the Annual Toys For Tots Drive and Christmas Bash at American Legion Post 8, located on 112 North Avenue. This year’s event is open to the public to have everyone enjoy some holiday cheer among friends and collect toys for kids who need them. Pete Parente organizes the event collecting toys along side the United States Marine Corps League for Westchester County Social Services bringing toys to children who would have no toys for the holidays without the generous efforts of those who contribute during this Holiday Toy drive. Everyone attending is required to bring a new, unwrapped toy for a child of any age (newborn through High School and gift cards are welcomed as well). The Party at the Legion Post is $20 p/ person and includes an open bar, amazing food catered by Pronto Pizza and Pasta, DJ, dancing and live entertainment by The West End Originals Band and Special guest. The Parente’s have held this event annually and each year, the hopes are for a bigger and better holiday season for kids who need it the most.
Grab a few friends and join the party to drink, be merry and make the holidays bigger and brighter for so many children. It’s a perfect evening to get the family together (adults only please) for a fabulous night of fun. The only thing you need to do is bring a toy, grab a table, and enjoy yourselves. The entire evening is created for a phenomenal cause. ALL TOYS will be handed out by SANTA on Christmas morning to the children in Westchester County Foster Care System. Think of all the smiles you can be a part of by just bringing a new and unwrapped toy.
We have to say with deepest regret that one of Westchester County’s best Supervisors and Toys for Tots organizer John Eforo (pictured above on the right) passed away suddenly on October 18th leaving behind a beautiful family and a legacy that we wish to continue. Our wishes are to honor and pay tribute to John, having this year be the biggest and best Toys for Tots drive ever. John Eforo made it his life’s mission to change kids lives, giving them hope and a future and something to live for. Please, in your generosity, let this year pay great tribute to John.
If you cannot make the party, please still donate!!!!! Contact Peter Parente, 914-557 –5556. Donations can be dropped off at the American Legion at 112 North Avenue in New Rochelle after 1pm up until the 20th of December. (Toy and monetary donations accepted please)
