Student Brings Bag of Knives to New Rochelle Middle School

Written By: Robert Cox

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A student at Isaac Young Middle School was suspended for five days after school security found him in possession of a bag of knives, according to a message sent to parents at the school.

The student told school officials that he brought knives and an unspecified tool to the school because he was being bullied and wanted to intimidate the person or persons bullying him.

This incident occurred on Friday.\ School officials confiscated the weapons, called New Rochelle police and advised parents later that evening through an automated phone message from Dr. Anthony Bongo.

In October, Dr. Bongo cancelled the remained of the school’s football season after learning of a series of hazing incidents.

The prompt response by Bongo stands in contrast to an indent the previous day at Jefferson Elementary School. In that incident school officials failed to call 911 and put the school on lockdown as required under the school security plan. Parents and staff were not informed of the incident. The following day, after news accounts informed parents of the incident, the school sent out a belated, misleading automated phone message to parents and provided misleading information to News12.

I am curious to find out what blog system you happen to be working with?
I’m having some minor security issues with my latest blog and I’d like to find something
more risk-free. Do you have any suggestions?
