Although I appreciate Ms. Godfrey’s watch dog mentality the old Grabels building will not be take off the tax rolls as she claims. To my knowledge only 1/3 of the building is going to be used as a church gathering center.

    1. Selective Enforcement
The bottom line is that this is a change of use which, while legal, does NOT meet the parking requirement ala 787. This is the problem with NR as it uses selective enforcement of building codes, laws etc. depending on the players. I’m sure the applicant will argue public parking on Hamilton Ave. as every other business in that area uses but the bottom line is 21 extra spaces are required and not supplied on the application..

If ⅓ of the building is being used, is the subdivision legal? If so it would greatly reduce the rentabilty of the remaining ⅔ as NO parking would be available.

You can’t have it both ways.
