4-05 Optimum Power Presents: Students at Isaac E. Young Middle School to Discuss Importance of Online Safety

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — As Part of Optimum Power to Learn ‘Internet Smarts’ Event, New York State Senator George Latimer will participate in an event with Sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students to address the topic of safe and appropriate online behavior as part of Optimum’s Power to Learn Internet Smarts program. NYS Senator George Latimer will speak to students regarding the topic; student presentations follow (including a PowerPoint on Misinformation, skits on Digital Permanence, Social Networking and Illegal Downloading). Senator Latimer will sign a large Internet Smarts certificate and student presenters will sign an Internet Safety pledge.
