New Rochelle BID Wants Your Photos of Downtown

Written By: Talk of the Sound News

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle BID is collecting creative photos taken of New Rochelle’s downtown for display on the BID website and Facebook page. Nearly any photo taken within the BID district, which extends along the Main Street and Huguenot Street corridors and from Echo Avenue to the memorial on Pintard Avenue, will qualify.

This is an opportunity to document New Rochelle as it celebrates its 325th Anniversary.

The deadline for submissions is November 28, 2013 so you have some time to find that shot…but November will be here before you know it! As an added incentive, the BID will select a number of images to be included in a commemorative postcard collection at the end of the competition (spoiler alert: There are already some fabulous shots turning up on the BID FB page http://on.fb.me/10MOPcL)!

So grab you cell phone, SLR, Brownie, P&S or Hasselblad and get your focus on. Check here for additional information, terms and conditions: http://www.newrochelledowntown.com/Photo%20Happening/. Happy snapping.

  1. Ansel Adams couldn’t make
Ansel Adams couldn’t make downtown New Rochelle look appealing. Between Idoni and Bramson, New Rochelle had become “Shit”. So even dressed up shit is still shit.

    1. dressed up s— is still s—. ……. Quite true…
but distracting the NR citizens who’ve allowed New Rochelle to become a sewer will do nicely until Idoni II has moved on and up to sit at the right hand of Idoni I and appointed Idoni III as his successor, courtesy of the NR citizens whom he will force to vote in, of course.

      P.T. Barnum was SO right.
