NEW YORK, NY — Rep. Eliot Engel spoke at a vigil outside the Iranian Mission to the United Nations for Holocaust Remembrance Day on Sunday, April 7, 2013. “Together we must protest the spread of hatred and defamation by the Iranian leadership against Israel and the Jewish people. Iran’s support and funding of international terrorism, and continuous threats against Israel’s existence demand our collective condemnation. On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we recommit ourselves to never forget the brutal murder of six million Jews. To honor their memories, we will never be silent in the face of bigotry, injustice and anti-Semitism,” said Rep. Engel, the Ranking Member of House Foreign Affairs Committee.
