Pancreatic Cancer Walk Rye NY April 21st

Join me in the fight against pancreatic cancer. Come be apart of the 2013 Westchester Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk. My father, Billy Iannuzzi, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, who worked for the school district, died over 5 years ago from pancreatic cancer. You may not know that pancreatic cancer is the nation’s fourth leading cause of cancer deaths, and that it’s low survival rate has not improved in 25 years.

Thanks to advances in treatment, overall U.S. cancer death rates are steadily dropping. Cancer treatment advances are the result of scientific research. But research follows dollars, and in spite of being the nation’s fourth leading cancer killer, pancreatic cancer receives only 2% of federal research funding. Simply stated, more money is needed to help researchers identify better treatments and a cure for this disease.

Research holds the key to finding better treatments and a cure. That’s why I have joined forces with The Lustgarten Foundation. As the nation’s largest private supporter of pancreatic cancer research, The Lustgarten Foundation understands that research is our best weapon in the fight.

Thanks to a commitment by Cablevision to underwrite the Foundation’s administrative expenses, 100% of every dollar donated to the Foundation goes directly to pancreatic cancer research.

Come on Sunday April 21st to Rye Town Park/Oakland Beach 150 Dearborn Avenue Rye, NY 10580 and participate in the walk. It begins at 9:30am.

Please support me in the Walk, and help ensure that pancreatic cancer patients have a fighting chance. My family and I thank you for your support.
