NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The real estate broker recently selected by the City of New Rochelle to manage the sale or lease of City-owned properties will host a lavish fundraiser for New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson in the office building their company manages in New Rochelle, NY.
Last November, the City of New Rochelle cancelled two property deals, opting to end the City’s practice of selling or leasing city-owned property through an RFP process and hiring a real estate broker instead. The suggestion came from Council Member Albert Tarantino.
In January, the City of New Rochelle put out an RFP to hire a broker, RFP-NR-4964 Real Estate Broker Services:
The City of New Rochelle, New York is hereby requesting proposals from qualified, real estate brokers to assist with the sale or lease of City-owned, selected real properties, which become vacant. It is the intent of this Request for Proposals to have the successful broker enter into a professional services contract with the City to provide real estate services as outlined herein.
The City is seeking brokers with experience in marketing, leasing and selling properties for owners with diverse portfolios of properties to best position selected properties in its small inventory. The broker should have some familiarity with laws and practices applicable to municipal real estate matters, including relevant local land use and zoning controls for properties as governed by the New Rochelle City Code, which is available online at www.newrochelleny.com.
In February, the City of New Rochelle City Council voted to authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Houlihan Parnes Realtors, LLC. The executive team of Houlihan Parnes is led by James Houlihan and includes Andrew Greenspan.
In June, Houlihan Parnes is hosting a fundraiser for Noam Bramson in the lobby of their office building at 145 Huguenot Street.
