NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle High School Principal Don Conetta made a robocall to parents this morning that the high school would re-open at 8:00 am so students could retrieve their belongings in their third period class. The school was evacuated Friday morning during third period and many students were seeking to retrieve their books and other belongings over the weekend. Conetta said the classrooms were all secured over the weekend.
Otherwise the school day would begin as normal at 8:15 a.m.
On Sunday the district announced that a generator has been set up and was now powering the building to almost full capacity. The district announced that full power would be restored to the building by Sunday night. No word yet from the district whether that happened.
