A two car accident early this morning kept the New Rochelle Fire department busy trying to get the driver out of his car. New Rochelle police started to receive calls about a car that flipped on its side near the corner of Rhodes street and Huguenot street(US 1).
When police arrived on scene one car was on its side up against a vacant storefront window. The driver was trapped in the car for almost 25 minutes while the New Rochelle fire department used the Jaws of life to get the driver out.The driver was alert and was trying to get himself free when officers arrived he was taken to a awaiting ambulance but refused to be taken to the hospital. The other driver was taken away by police unknown if any charges will be filed.
