Pregnant Special Education Therapist Punched in Stomach by Student at New Rochelle High School

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A 21-week pregnant New Rochelle Speech Language Pathologist was punched in the stomach by a student at New Rochelle High School Tuesday morning.

New Rochelle police officers, fire fighters and paramedics responded to the scene at about 10:15 a.m.

The teacher was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center in an ambulance. She is reportedly in good health following the incident.

The student was a 6th grader in a special education program. No charges were filed.

News12 is reporting the student lashed out after becoming angry when admonished to focus on completing a work assignment.
