Car Accident North Avenue And Main Street New Rochelle

A landscaper tried to leave the scene of a early afternoon accident on the corner of North Avenue and Main Street.New Rochelle police started to receive calls about the accident around 11:45am.This pickup truckhit a Lexus suv as it tried to leave a parking space.After hitting the Lexus the pickup tried to leave the accident scene by making a U-turn on North avenue and then hitting another parked Suvon the corner of North avenue and Main street. The driver was stopped by a unmarked police car. Police officers gave the driver a DWI testunknown if he had passed or not but no one was arrested at the scene. There was no injuries and North Avenue northbound was closed for almost 45 minutes until the scene was cleared.People on the scene gave us accounts of how the accident occurred.
