NY State/ Public Land /Public Money/ Requires the Public Be Considered

The Citizens of New Rochelle with backs to the wall had the opportunity to speak about the Echo Bay FEIS with Forest City. They for the most part had nothing nice to say about it.

They spoke but clearly they were not to be heard.

New Rochelle no longer seems to have a representative form of Government we have a form of Government where by the ” Fix” has been in for quite some time.

The fix allows a ceremonial Mayor, Noam Bramson who believes he knows better and that he is smarter than all who come before him. His fix for our stupidity is Barry Fertel, Jared Rice, Shari Rackman and Ivar Hyden.
The fix gives him the votes to push through a very flawed project which will clearly hurt the residents, tax payers and homeowners of New Rochelle for a litany of reasons.

Some believe that the fix is not in, that better thought will prevail and there will be some on Council who will make sense and in the end vote this down.

I believe the fix is in. I also believe a higher level of scrutiny should be in place at the NY State level to hold these kind of deals in check. NY State should hold any elected official from imposing his will ahead of his constituents clearly when public funds and public land are being handed over to a developer with the power of Forest City.

We have a project that gives public land away not to dissimilar to the 24 dollars in trinkets traded to the locals for the Manhattan Island.

NY State has an obligation to review this deal as it is their property being stolen also.
NY State has an obligation to hold local politicians accountable for fishy deals on private property but they have an overwhelming obligation on Public Land.

Mayor Bramson is so fixed to bring this project home he can almost taste it. He is willing to give away the Island of Manhattan because he sees his Political Future within those trinkets.

We have public land we have State Land we have a group of huckster showing Noam their beads and our Mayor is all aglow with the shinny bounty. In his state of mind his decisions are made only by his goals alone, as he has lost track of his political duty some wonder if he ever knew his duty. I personally do not accuse him of anything other than its time for his career to get going, the ring is out and he needs to grab it. I believe our Mayor is more mesmerized by his Political ring than by the trinkets from the hucksters but he is telling us all about the shinny trinkets we are about to receive. He is willing to amend every zoning code, adjust every binding detail previously placed in our codes to allow the hucksters to allow him to climb out of the Political muck which is his New Rochelle career.
It’s a muck that was self made when you look at what he did with 5th Avenue and City Park during the IKEA fiasco. The muck gets larger when you consider what New Roc City is today. The muck of his mayoralty gets deeper when you look at the Trump Cappelli building half empty with zero retail.
The muck really begins to compound on his Mayoralty when you look at what is now left with LeCount Place. Avalon’s just more muck on the record the record of his failed Mayoralty and his Political report card. So we have the top of his HS class and Harvard Graduating Class for the first time probably in his entire life being measured with a very poor set of grades.
The Citizens only choice at this time is to light up the phones in NY State.
Write emails to the Attorney General, to the Comptroller, to any one in NY State Government who will listen. Noam is betting that we are too busy too fragmented to stop him. With enough noise in the Halls of Albany I believe he can be stopped.
