Life is an intelligence and
ethnic tree that
sometimes shades the growth of a civilization
in local and global terms.
People are shaped by people-intentions.
Though I am not a finished product I was
so shaped
in my imagination by this man
and so many of his introductions.
He was a people person and he was
handsome, charismatic, wise and kind.
Many people know Sinatra and
hear of
the camaraderie of “rat packs” to presidents;
many understand the issues, platforms,
social contracts from Columbo to the Cuomos.
May there be a strong and relevant
yet familiar song remaining in our
hearts for the swagger and
memory and friendship of Mayor Frank J. Garito Sr.
May a living legislative
soul be available for constituents of
his beloved community in and beyond

because
