On October 7th, Martha Lopez held a fundraiser for Noam Bramson claiming that it represented the Hispanic Community of New Rochelle. Of note is that many in the audience where not from New Rochelle and almost half were not Hispanic. Noam, basking from this “endorsement”, has yet to include or post THIS endorsement on his web page. What does this say about Noam Bramson? Pues que no le importa la comunidad hispana en New Rochelle (He could care less about the Hispanic community in New Rochelle). Yet, he has publicly announce the gracious support of Mt Vernon’s corrupt mayor, Ernie Davis – who he himself is being investigated by federal and state agencies including some of his own municipal departments – one was recently recognized as one of the worst managed agencies in ALL of NY state. So what’s my point? Now that our ceremonial part-time mayor Bramson has un-ceremonially insulted the Hispanic community and previously insulted the African-American Community, who is left to insult? I am intrigue at how strategically inept Noam has been with the community of color in New Rochelle. Should he not win and return back to being our part-time Mayor, will he make this poor relationship better? Does he know how to do this? Will he employ Ernie Davis on how to do this? But if he wins and moves to White Plains, who will be the Mayor left to deal with this exceptionally poor relationship between our municipal leaders and with our diverse community of color? Barry Fertel? Jared Rice? I say we create the conditions for getting rid of the Mayor’s office and live with a City Manager to run our affairs. What do you all think?

Little Emperor Syndrome
Martin,
The communities that are backing Noam, really have not been well informed. They do not realize he will promise them anything to get their vote. After that he will turn into the Mayor we all know, it is either his way or you will be dismissed. Unfortunately, he has taken advantage of the communities that have the most to lose. I only hope he does not become our County Executive and decides to leave politics. What about having a strong mayor and eliminating a city manager form of government?
