NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle resident and philanthropist Barbara Ellsworth-Robinson has been named co-chair of the 2013-2014 “It Just Takes One” Annual Campaign to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle.
Whether participating in the special events, supporting the Club’s Midget Basketball League or collaborating to potentially launch a youth baseball league, the Robinson family has a proud history of support for the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle. Mrs. Ellsworth-Robinson is the proud mother of two Club members, a staunch supporter of several non-profit organizations and a pillar of the community. Her husband Lloyd was recently honored at the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle’s 51st Annual Golf Outing for his company’s commitment to community service.
“I’m both honored and excited to serve as chair of the “It Just Takes One Campaign,” says Ellsworth-Robinson. “For years, my family has been impressed with the quality programs offered by the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle. Investing my time and talents to raise funds is the least I can do to show my support. Knowing that the money raised from this annual campaign will help the children build bright futures is rewarding in a way I can never fully express!”
The “It Just Takes One” Annual Campaign is key fundraiser that supports the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle’s youth programming, general operations and facility upgrades. The revenue goal for “It Just Takes One” is $50,000. Mrs. Ellsworth-Robinson and her committee of community volunteers are aggressively seeking donations to achieve this ambitious goal. Donations of all amounts are encouraged and past supporters include business executives, corporations, local philanthropists, restaurants and civic groups willing to invest in supporting the 2,000 children served by the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle each year.
