NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A man was found dead in his home at 99 Winthrop Avenue in New Rochelle after a person delivering meals to the house called New Rochelle police.
The witness told police that they had tried to make a delivery on Friday November 29th but no one responded to the door. At that time, the witness reported being able to look through a window and saw the man on the couch. After knocking on the door more the person gave up and left.
Returning today, the person was again unable to get a response and again observed the man, in the same position, on the couch.
New Rochelle police responded to the call, determined the man had died and called detectives from the General Investigations Unit, as well as, the Westchester County Medical Examiner.
