Facilitators at New Rochelle Superintendent search forums to Ask 3 Questions

Written By: Robert Cox

New Rochelle, NY — The New Rochelle Board of Education, under the leadership of Board President David Lacher, has gone to extraordinary lengths to solicit input from every stakeholder in the New Rochelle schools community in the coming days.

The first public input session is tonight at 7 p.m. at Isaac E. Young Middle School. Full schedule here.

To make best use of the upcoming New Rochelle Superintendent search forums, participants are encouraged to come prepared to address three questions.

 * What are the strengths of the New Rochelle school district?

 * What are the challenges and issues that the district faces now and in the future?

 * What are the characteristics you think are necessary for the next Superintendent?

Attendees are encouraged to share their suggestions, ideas and opinions.

The Superintendent search forum is intended to create an open dialogue, where facilitators will listen to and collect the opinions of forum attendees and serve as neutral bystanders and facilitators of the process.

Following completion of the forums, the search firm will use the data collected to create a community engagement summary and a position profile for the Superintendent candidate search.

In addition, there will be an online survey created to allow New Rochelle community stakeholders further input into the process.
