New Rochelle Public Library offers free programs for infants, toddlers and preschool children

New Rochelle, NY — The New Rochelle Public Library and the Huguenot Children’s Library (HCL) are offering a great array of free programs for infants, toddlers and preschool children this winter-spring season.
 
 Participation is drop-in, on a first-come, first-served basis. The free programs are made possible by the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library and the Partnership for the Huguenot Children’s Library. Most do not take place on days the New Rochelle Public Schools are closed for vacations.
 Music and Movement with Nora Maher, for children ages 1 – 3 year, is a fun-filled introduction to songs, finger plays, and movement, led by a professional musician/educator, and takes place Tuesdays, January 14 through February 11, from 10:00 am – 10:30 am at the Main Library and from 11:30 am – 12:00 noon at HCL.
 
 Nursery Rhyme Time, for children ages 1 – 2 years, is a joyful blend of stories, songs and finger plays. It is held at the Main Library on Fridays, January 24 – May 23, from 9:30 – 9:50 am, and at HCL on Mondays, January 27 through May 19, from 10:30 – 10:50 am,
 
 Toddler Time​, for children age 2 years, are lively sessions that engage children and their parent or caregiver in music and games. It is held at the Main Library on Fridays, January 24 – May 23, from 10:30 – 11:00 am, and at HCL on Wednesdays, January 22 through May 21, from 10:30 – 11:00 am.
 
 3, 4, 5’s – Stories & Crafts, for ages 3 – 5 years, are sessions of stories, songs, and a take-home craft inspired by seasons and picture book themes. They take place at the Main Library on Mondays, January 27 through May 19, from 10:00 – 10:45 am, and on Thursdays, January 23 through May 22, from 2:00 – 2:45 pm.
 
 Sessions at HCL take place at HCL on Tuesdays, January 21 through May 20, from 1:30 – 2:15 pm and on Thursdays, January 23 through May 22, from 10:30 – 11:15 am.
