In developing a Five-Year Strategic Plan that will allow the New Rochelle Public Library (NRPL) to best meet the needs of its ever-changing community, the library is inviting residents to an open Town Meeting on Monday, February 3, at 7:00 pm. Library Development Solutions of Princeton, New Jersey, will facilitate the discussion of the hour-long meeting, which provide the opportunity to discuss ways in which the Library can improve its services, collections, policies and facility.
“Residents who are frequent or infrequent library users are encouraged to participate,” said Tom Geoffino, library director. “This is an important process that will help guide a bright future for the library and the greater community. Maximum public participation will ensure a relevant and realistic plan.”
The library is located between Lawton Street and Memorial Highway. Refreshments will be served before the meeting, between 6:30 and 6:50 pm.
Residents may also make their opinions and ideas known through a 13-question survey that can be completed from the library’s website at www.nrpl.org, or by visiting the library, where it can be completed on an electronic kiosk or on a paper copy. Those wishing to be mailed a paper copy of the survey should call the community relations office at 632-8254.
