NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Hazard, Young & Attea, the executive search firm hired by the New Rochelle Board of Education, is offering a new opportunity for community input this Saturday at New Rochelle High School.
The new Superintendent Search input sessions will be scheduled in 45 minute intervals starting at 9 a.m. and continue until 1 p.m. The sessions will take place at in Room 207 at New Rochelle High School.
Any organizations, associations or any other group of New Rochelle stakeholders wishing to schedule a time slot must do so in advance, directly with the search consultants.

The same three questions will be discussed as at all previous forms:
(1) What are the perceived strengths of New Rochelle, the community and its schools?
(2) What are the perceived weaknesses of the New Rochelle community and its schools? and
(3) What are the qualities or characteristics that the Board of Education should be looking for in assessing candidates for the position of Superintendent of Schools?
The extra sessions come in response to the recent controversy over the refusal of the school board allow a meeting between United Citizens for a Better New Rochelle and HYA, a controversy heightened by the revelation that Vice President Lianne Merchant cast her vote based on personal and political considerations having nothing to with the school district.
