NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Family Christian Center, a local and prominent church, is inviting the city of New Rochelle and neighboring communities to its Summer Sendoff Concert. This year’s activities include bounce houses, dunk tanks, a comedy show, live performances and the main attraction; The Backpack Giveaway.
The backpack drive was created in 2009 to relieve some of the financial burden of the back to school season by providing book bags and school supplies for families in need. Since its inception, it has become a community event that both FCC and the community look forward to. This year promises to be bigger than ever with the addition of singing, dancing, drama and comedy.
Backpacks will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. All attractions and activities at the Summer Sendoff are free to the public. End the summer off right by joining us and inviting all your friends and family to participate in this fun-filled community gathering.
