New Rochelle police received a call from a alert homeowner on Parkridge avenue about a person breaking into a white car on Parkridge ave early Thursday morning. The alert home owner kept a close eye on the suspect and gave New Rochelle police a detailed description of the suspect. New Rochelle police sealed off the area and began searching the area and a chase began with the suspect hiding behind cars and then running through backyards on Parkridge Avenue and Mt.Tom Road. New Rochelle officers then caught the suspect in the rear yard of Nine Mount Tom Road. Police are searching for other cars that might have been broken into.
