Community Leaders Discuss Solutions To Combat The Rise Of Homelessness

Written By: Talk of the Sound News

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The homeless population in New Rochelle is steadily on the rise. While the city of New Rochelle has been able to provide shelter, recent cuts in funding has placed a cap on the local shelter’s ability to deliver other vital services to the homeless population. The Homeless Summit will provide a platform where meaningful dialogue can take place on issues related to homelessness in New Rochelle. In addition, the event will offer the opportunity for long term strategic planning to be conducted collectively by independent services providers, community leaders, local business, and residents that will result in unique perspectives and valuable insight as we move forward with developing a plan to address the issue of homelessness in our community.
