The 2014 Westchester County Polar Plunge will take place on Saturday, November 15th beginning at 9:00 am at Glen Island Park. Hundreds of polar plungers are expected to take the dip in the Long Island Sounds’ chilly waters this year.

Plunge registration opens at 9:00am with the plunge starting at 12:00 pm.

Last year hundreds of Plungers braved the chilly waters while hundreds of spectators watched on. These funds that are raised will support local athletic training and competition in the Hudson Valley region. Special Olympics New York never charges its athletes or families to participate in their program.

“It is so wonderful to see the Athletes’ excitement and accomplishment in their eyes when they jump into the icy waters with everyone else. Their smile says it all! It is truly inspirational!” said Teresa Gilli, Director of Development.
