“REGINA” (2013), the story of the World’s First Woman Rabbi, directed by Diana Groo and was the winner of the Lia Award for dealing with Jewish Heritage at the 30th Jerusalem Film Festival 2013. This is a fascinating documentary film about an extraordinary woman’s struggle, devotion, faith, and love in 19th century Germany.
Regina Jonas (1902-1944) made history becoming the first properly ordained female rabbi in the world. World-famous actress Rachel Weisz is the voice of Regina.
