POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Iona College volleyball team fell to Marist in four sets in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play at McCann Arena. The first place Red Foxes won the match 19-25, 25-18, 25-14, 26-24.
Senior Taylor Cembalisty hit .344 with 14 kills while recording eight digs, with two aces and a block for a team-best 16.5 points. Sophomore Karly White had 11 kills and hit .444 and had three errors on 18 attempts. Senior Catrina Warren had a double-double with 10 kills and a team-high 15 digs. Junior Natalie Ziskin had 46 assists and seven digs and senior libero Katie Marabella posted 14 digs in the loss. Senior Shannon Ward recorded eight kills.
Marist was led by 13 kills from Mackenzie Stephens. Kelsey Ediger posted 11 kills. Setter Amanda Schlegel had 48 assists and libero Brooke Zywick had 19 digs.
The Gaels complete their road trip at Siena on Sunday.
