BRISTOL, CT — ESPN is reporting that Ray Rice won his appeal of an indefinite suspension. He has been reinstated to the NFL and could sign with a new team at any time, according to ESPN sources.

Rice was initially suspended by the league for two games following his arrest on February 15, 2014.

Rice was suspended indefinitely in early September after surveillance video from an Atlantic City casino was made public by TMZ.com. The video showed Rice spitting on and then punching his then-finance Janay Rice knocking her unconscious.

ESPN has further details here.

Rice was seen working out today furiously at the Kinetic Sports Club in Pelham, NY earlier today.

“He was doing mostly legwork,” said one club member who asked not to be identified. “He was doing squats, deadlifts, using free weights.”

“I’ve seen him there many times in the past but never working out this hard,” said the source.
