New Rochelle High School Set to Kick Off Black History Month Celebration

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle High School will host the opening event of its annual Black History Month Celebration on February 28th.

The Westchester Alliance of Black School Educators in partnership with the Black History Celebration Committee and the New Rochelle Fund for Educational Excellence will present The Annual Black History Spoken Word & Art Exhibit commemorating the Life and Legacy of Maya Angelou in an Art Exhibition from February 28th to March 6th. The art exhibit will be held in the Whitney Young Auditorium Rotunda. Admission is free.

There will be an African Art/Craft Vendors, Book Signings And Refreshments as well.

Inside the Auditorium, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. there will be Cultural Performances In Song Dance And Drama. Admission is $3 for Students and $5 for Adults.
