NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Students at Columbus Elementary School are participating in a program to increase student achievement in science, reading and writing through the use of science literacy integration and student-centered technology.
Last night, students, teachers, and parents were joined by Principal Sonia Nunez, Principal of Isaac E. Young Middle School Anthony Bongo, and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian Osborne for a presentation on “STREAMing into Learning”.
The annual event, highlighted by an in-school, interactive Convention, integrates science, technology, art, and mathematics to expand learning opportunities for all students, K-5.
“What a great evening!” said Columbus Principal Sonia Nunez.
STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Reading and Writing, Engineering, Art and Math.
