NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The League of Women Voters’ February 27th “Coffee and Conversation” at the New Rochelle Public Library will feature New Rochelle’s City Manager Chuck Strome. The free program, which is open to all, will include a brief presentation by Mr. Strome, followed by a question and answer session. The program runs from 9:30 am – 11:00 am.
Charles B. “Chuck” Strome, III was appointed City Manager on November 12, 2002. He had served as Acting City Manager, beginning in March 2002, and as Deputy City Manager, beginning in 1995. The two years prior he had served as Assistant City Manager/City Coordinator and, from 1989 through 1992, as Director of Emergency Services.
Mr. Strome has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Communications from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and a Masters of Public Administration-Government from Pace University. He is a member of the International City Managers’ Association, and former president of the New York State City/County Managers Association. He is also past President, Vice President, and Secretary of the Municipal Administrators Association of Metropolitan New York.
