NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Hispanic Culture Club and the United Cultures Club of N.R.H.S, will gather over 300 Latino teens from Westchester, Rockland and Sullivan County at New Rochelle High School on Saturday, April 18, 2015, for “The Third Annual Westchester County Latino Youth Leadership Conference”.  This will be a day of celebration, unity, inspiration, development and Latino empowerment.

This event will provide a forum for teens to build their skills, celebrate their strengths, hear from successful Latino role models, and become inspired to follow their dreams and pursue a future full of opportunities.   They will interact with successful Latino professionals, and participate in workshops focused on topics like: educational and career opportunities, leadership, healthy lifestyles, and culture and music.

Focusing on Latino youth is important as the Latino population continues to grow, but has lower educational achievement than other groups in the nation.  The Third Annual Westchester County Latino Youth Leadership Conference will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at New Rochelle High School.
