NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Jane Moore, a student at Albert Leonard Middle School, spent her Winter Break in Haiti visiting an orphanage. Inspired by her visit, Moore organized a Bake Sale with three other ALMS students Brooke Rieger, Lexie Tym and Carly Rieger. The event raised more than $750 for the Worldwide Orphans Foundation.

Principal John Barnes joined in to help cut late-arriving baked goods.

The students are planning future fundraising events. They have set up accounts on Twitter and Instagram (@orphansarekids2)
