BOSTON, MA – Junior Andrew Kowalsky’s third place finish in the 5,000-meter event led the Iona College men’s indoor track team at the 2015 ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Boston University’s Track and Tennis Center this weekend.
Kowalsky earned the bronze medal in the 5k crossing the line in 14:16.57. His teammate, sophomore Andrew Tario, finished fourth, just over two seconds later (14:18.94) in a personal best time. Rookies Johannes Motschmann (20th, 8:23.51) and Alex Carter (24th, 8:27.02) and sophomore Andy Adamovics (29th, 8:37.94) also competed in the event.
Sophomore Brandon Allen led five Gael performers in the 3,000-meter event, finishing 10th overall with a time of 8:16.36. Senior Quinn Raseman and Kowalsky earned top 20 times, in 12th (8:17.61) and 17th place (8:20.92) respectively.
Sophomore Ross Wightman rounded out the Gaels’ performers at IC4As with a 24th place finish in the mile in 4:13.78.
