NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The City of New Rochelle annouced today that a limited number of garden plots are now available at New Rochelle’s two community gardens: Ward Acres Community Garden and grow! Lincoln Park Community Garden. Applications for both gardens are available on the City website www.newrochelleny.com/parks. Ward Acres Community Garden
Located in Ward Acres Park, the Ward Acres Community Garden offers full and half plots for the 2015 growing season. Full plots are 10’x12’ and are $50 each. All plots will be assigned on a first come/first served basis with first preference to returning gardeners. The growing season begins March 1 and ends November 30. Grow! Lincoln Park Community Garden
Plots at grow! Lincoln Park Community Garden (grow! LPCG) are now available for residents, community organizations and churches to lease for the 2015 growing season. Located in Lincoln Park adjacent to the Lincoln Pool, the rental fee is $25/season for individuals or families for a single (50 square foot) plot and $50/season for a double (100 square foot) plot for organizations. All plots will be assigned on a first come/first served basis with first preference to returning gardeners. The growing season begins in April, weather permitting. For more information contact grow!
