Iona Prep sent an announcement to members of the Gaels family:
For the majority of our young men, the smiling face of a loving mother is one of the first they see in the morning. For one of our Gaels, many throughout the metropolitan area also saw his mother’s smiling face first thing in the morning when they turned in to WABC-TV Eyewitness News and anchor Lisa Colagrossi.
This afternoon I am saddened to share what many of you may already know. That Lisa died of a brain aneurysm over the weekend.
A memorial service will be held for Lisa this evening at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 403 Scofieldtown Rd. in Stamford, Conn., beginning at 7 p.m.
No longer on the air, may Lisa be in our thoughts and prayers, along with her family during this difficult time.
With sympathy,
Bro. Thomas R. Leto, CFC
President
