New Rochelle Fire Causes Evacuation of Overcrowded House

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle firefighters responding to a fire in the basement of a house at 61 Clinton Avenue found an overcrowding situation in the house.

The fire was in the basement and got into the walls but was quickly knocked down by the fire department.

FIre officials remained on scene, in control of the location, until a New Rochelle building official arrived on scene.

One woman on oxygen support was among those who self-evacuated from the house.

No flames or smoke was visible from the street.

There were no reported injuries.

  1. Periscope not Available for Android Yet, but These Are

    While Periscope and Meerkat do not offer their apps for the Android os, there are a couple of apps that will do the same for android. They are Tarsii-live and Stre.am live both are available through the google play store. Periscope claims to have an Android app rolling out soon but why wait.
