STANFORD, CA – Junior Kieran Clements led four members of the Iona College men’s outdoor track team in the 10,000 meter event at the 2015 Stanford Invitational late Friday night in Stanford, California.
Running with two teammates in the second section of the 10k event at Stanford, Clements finished sixth overall with a personal best time of 28:57.57, the seventh fastest time in school history and the seventh in less than 29 minutes. The host Cardinal’s Garrett Sweatt took the event in 28:51.56. Senior Andrew Kowalsky finished 34th overall in 29:54.43, one spot ahead of sophomore Andrew Tario (29:56.53).
Freshman Gilbert Kirui ran in the first 10k section and finished 32nd in 29:16.21. Syracuse’s Martin Hehir was first in 28:27.70.
