NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Parks & Recreation Department will be sponsoring a new Invasive Vine Removal program on Sunday, April 19th. It will be held at Ward Acres Park, at the corner of Broadfield and Quaker Ridge Road between 1pm – 3 pm.  No prior experience necessary.

Master Gardener and Task Committee Coordinator Bob DelTorto, Task Force Leaders Julie Larkin and Rob Feuer, and Junior Task Force Leader Cole Feuer will be leading the vine removal from 1pm – 3pm. All Program Leaders will provide interactive vine-cutting and safety training throughout the program. This is a great volunteer opportunity for students looking for community service, and for anyone who just wants to lend a hand. All tools and safety equipment will be provided by the New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Department. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
