NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The intersection of Pinebrook Boulevard and Forest Avenue was busy today.
Early on Monday morning, shortly after midnight, a a tree limb fell on an electrical line knocking out power to the neighborhood. Later in the day a taxi crashed through a guard rail on Pinebrook near Forest Avenue.

Con Edison was able to restore power overnight so that by early in the morning electrical power was restored and traffic along Pinebrook Boulevard was restored shortly before 9 a.m.

Traffic was closed again two hours later when a Colonial Taxi crashed through a guardrail on Pinebrook Boulevard and drove down an embankment towards the Pine brook.

New Rochelle police and firefighters responded to the scene of the car crash. There are no there were no reported injuries although one person went to the hospital as a precaution.
