NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Former New York Mets World Series Champion Mookie Wilson made a special appearance at the A-Game Sports camp in New Rochelle, where he spent the morning as a guest coach. Wilson stressed to the kids the importance of knowing the fundamentals of baseball in order to be a good all around player commenting, “We are not teaching ESPN highlights, we are teaching proper baseball position!”
During his visit, Wilson took girls and boys ages 7-15 through several drills, signed autographs and spoke to the campers about what it takes to be a great ball player as well as his amazing career as a New York Mets World Series Champion.
