ACA International Awards $1,000 Scholarship to Michaela Weidtman from New York

NEW YORK, NY –ACA International, the association of credit and collection professionals, is proud to honor Michaela Weidtman with $1,000 from the Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship fund. The Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship is made possible each year by the ACA International Education Foundation.

Weidtman is currently studying history at Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y. Weidtman, along with three other scholarship recipients, recived the Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship based on cumulative grade point average and a 2- to 3-page essay on the topic on the value of consumer credit to our nation’s economy.

Weidtman’s mother, Courtney Weidtman, works at Sunrise Credit Services – an ACA member company in Farmingdale, N.Y.

Scholarship recipients must enroll for a minimum of 12 credit hours at an accredited college, university, vocational-technical college or community college within 12 months following receipt of the award.
