NEW ROCHELLE, NY –New Rochelle Cares – Aging In Place is a not-for-profit, volunteer supported organization dedicated to giving New Rochelle residents, 60 plus, the practical means and social support to live their lives to the fullest; safely and confidently in their own homes.

New Rochelle Cares is currently enlisting the help of New Rochelle neighbors to find a photo to use on their introductory campaign posters. The contest offers a $100 prize for the photograph that best depicts their mission or an iconic photo of New Rochelle.

“ ‘We can’t imagine New Rochelle without you’ will be the caption for our launch campaign, geared to reaching our seniors who have contributed so much to New Rochelle over the past decades.” Says Frankie Shahar, Co-chair of New Rochelle Cares. “We want all seniors to know they are a valued asset to our neighborhoods and we are assembling an inter-generational support system for our members to keep their lives engaged in New Rochelle.”

For those interested in submitting a photo, the deadline is August 21st. All submissions must be posted on the New Rochelle Cares website at www.facebook/NewRochelleCares and the winner will be notified on Facebook on August 22. Actual photos will need to be supplied as a PDF with a dpi resolution of 300 or more, and a release form signed at the time of the prize award.

“Over 19%t of the New Rochelle population, 15,428 residents, are over the age of 60. It remains a largely vibrant segment with expertise and passion for New Rochelle. So it’s hard to envision a picture of New Rochelle without our elders. We’re hoping the winning submission will find a way to reflect that and appeal to all the residents who love their New Rochelle home.” added Arleen Zuckerman, New Rochelle Cares’ other Co- Chair, and long time New Rochelle resident.
