NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Judith (Judy) Lorraine Gailhard McDonald, 61, of Norwalk, Ct. passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at her home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 10:30a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, Ct with a reception to follow.
While the loss of a loved one is never easy, even when anticipated, it is all the more difficult when they are taken before their time. Just as a shooting star is a short-lived, breathtaking experience, so was Judy’s unforgettable life. Judy was born November 12, 1953 in New Rochelle, N.Y. and was one of five children of the late John Henry and Jennie Palumbo Gailhard of New Rochelle. She was an attorney and partner in the law firm of Pogostin & Gailhard in New Rochelle where she passionately served the entire community for many years.
Judy is survived by her devoted husband, Christopher McDonald, and loving children Lauren of Queens, N.Y. and Johnny of Tampa, Fl.; two sisters and two brothers; sister Janet Magee and her husband Chris of Simsbury, Ct. and Nantucket, Ma.; brother John Gailhard of Odenton, Md.; sister Joyce Moses and her husband Brad of Raleigh, N.C.; and brother Jim Gailhard and his wife Debbie of Deming, N.M.; additional sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws are John and Fredda McDonald of Deerfield Beach, Fl.; Susan and Rick Luciano, and Karen and Bill Hutchinson of Warwick, N.Y.
Judy treasured her many nieces and nephews, and never missed an opportunity to make a family member feel loved and appreciated.
