WHITE PLAINS, NY — County Executive Robert P. Astorino will join acrobats, stilt walkers and musicians to kick off Westchester County’s new fall attraction Circus Latino! on Thursday, September 17 at 1 p.m. at Edge-On-Hudson located at 199 Beekman Avenue in Sleepy Hollow ( directly in front of the lighthouse.) Behind-the-scenes tour opportunities of the circus and other Sleepy Hollow destinations will also be available. Please contact to schedule.
The colorful preview will take place under a 90-foot tent, including performances by Westchester Circus Arts co-director and circus artist Hilary Sweeny, who will dangle from the rafters using silks. Co-director Carlo Pellegrini will be dressed in full ringmaster costume and live Ecuadorian and Brazilian music will echo in the background as musicians prepare for the show’s opening day on Friday, September 18.
Circus Latino! joins a series of much anticipated attractions in Westchester this fall, such as The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze in Croton-on-Hudson and Jay Ghoul’s House of Curiosities at Lyndhurst in Tarrytown.
The press conference will showcase the full lineup of fall attractions as well as highlight the county’s ongoing effort to increase tourism. A seven-minute circus performance will follow. Food and beverage will be served.
