NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Over the summer, residents brought thousands of gently used books to the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library, whose dedicated volunteers have processed the donations and now have them ready to sell — all at very affordable prices. On Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd, from 9:00 am — 3:00 pm, the public may select from a wide range of hardcover and paperback books, CDs, dvds, and more, when the Friends of NRPL conduct their monthly Big Book Sale in the lobby of eth main library.
The Friends will also be holding Mini Book Sales every Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.
The executive board of the Friends of the Library, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, coordinates the book sale, with the assistance of other Friends’ volunteers. Money realized from book sales are used to underwrite the Library’s extensive public programs. The Friends welcome prospective volunteers.
