Westchester Library System Welcomes Alex Payan to the Board of Trustees

WHITE PLAINS, NY –The Westchester Library System (WLS) named Alex Payan of Port Chester to the organization’s Board of Trustees. Mr. Payan serves as the District X representative covering Port Chester, Rye Brook, Rye City and Rye Town.

Mr. Payan has over 15 years of marketing research experience in the corporate world with an array of international companies such as Kraft Foods Global (Shopper Insights).  His background in the marketing field includes various methodologies in quantitative and qualitative market research studies including branding, product testing, awareness and usage, strategic brand positioning and tracking.  He is currently the Director of Port Chester Cares for Family Services of Westchester in Port Chester and serves as an adjunct ESL teacher at Manhattanville College’s English Language Institute program where he teaches International Marketing & Advertising. He is also a consultant for the Town of Rye where he is responsible for performing community research and outreach services, which includes the Town of Rye’s Youth Summer Internship Program.

In addition, Mr. Payan is actively involved in numerous civic organizations—Chair of the Village of Port Chester Board of Ethics; Advisory Member of the Port Chester Salvation Army; Board member of the Clay Art Center; Board member of Carver Center and member of the Port Chester/Rye Brook Rotary Club International, Kappa Delta Pi – International Honor Society in Education, Alpha Beta Gamma – International Honor Society in Business, among many others. He resides in Port Chester, NY.
