What: Designed to be BIGGER AND BETTER this year, Westchester’s Winter Wonderland will feature a new lineup of entertainment, including circus performers, carolers, and story tellers, as well as a variety of food and boutique vendors. For opening day, the New York Rangers will host a special children’s “Try Hockey for Free” session with Rangers alum Adam Graves as part of their sponsorship of the Rockefeller-sized ice rink – double the size of last year. Afterward will be a kick-off ceremony with a special 24-foot Christmas Tree Lighting by County Executive Robert P. Astorino, Friends of Westchester County Parks and the County Parks Department. Astorino will be joined in the tree-lighting ceremony by a family positively impacted by the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network, the event’s presenting sponsor.
